Are you interested in refreshing and updating your childcare skills to help to show that you are able to meet professional standards and childcare skills?
If your answer is YES, then this is the right course for you and you are in the right place.
Our course covers the essential skills and knowledge required by Ofsted to become a professional childminder. It has also been designed to be more relevant for nannies by focusing on the key skills that they need to plan, develop and provide an excellent standard of childcare in the family’s own home.

This one-day Nanny Course is developed by our highly experienced child care educators specialising in early Childhood education and child development.
please note: Nannies are recommended by Ofsted to attend the Common Core Skills and Knowledge training). In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register nannies are required to complete a course that covers the common core of skills and knowledge areas.

Course contents
The Common Core set out by the Children’s Workforce Development Council reflects a set of common values for practitioners. These areas include 6 key core skills areas:
Throughout the course we also focus on supporting home-based childcarers to understand their rights and responsibilities
We offer a quick and efficient DBS Service
If you are looking to register with Ofsted you will also need to hold a valid Paediatric first aid course.
Our common core skills certified course takes place in North London and Online.
We provide ongoing support to our nannies and childcarers too, ranging from free support with registering with OFSTED to childcare related topics. We also provide support to Nannies through coaching, and other childcare and maternity courses.
One-day certificated course is ‘classroom-based’ and offered on ogoing basis.
Entry requirement
There are no specific entry requirements however
- Minimum Age 16 and more
Assessments
- You will be assessed informally throughout the day by the trainer.
- 1 Day, classroom based – 1 hour, 30-minute multiple choice exam at the completion of the course.
