The Door Supervision course enables you to work both as a professional Door Supervisor and a Security Guard.

Who is this course for

The Level 3 Diploma is suitable for those working in unsupervised roles that support children and young people’s  learning and it helps prepare learners to be able to work in a nursery or early years or youth centre setting.

The course is 4-days course and it covers 4 units

Unit 2 – Working as a Door Supervisor

  • Module 1:Behavioural Standards
  • Module 2:Civil and Criminal Law
  • Module 3: Searching
  • Module 4: Arrest
  • Module 5: Drugs Awareness
  • Module 6:Recording Incidents and Crime Preservation
  • Module 7:Licensing Law
  • Module 8: Emergency Procedures
Unit 4 – Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry

  • Module 1:Introduction to Physical Skills
  • Module 2:Disengagement Techniques
  • Module 3: Escorting Techniques

Entry Requirement

Good level of spoken and written English
Candidates must be 18 or over, not have a serious criminal record in the last 5 years and have proof of identity and candidates must attend the whole course.
Teaching Method: You will be taught in a classroom using a mixture of group and pair activities and practical activities such as role-plays.

Career path

Progress to being a Team Leader, Site Supervisor, Head Door Supervisor or Security Manager.
