Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths
Qualification: Level 2 certificate in mathematics (functional skills regulated by Ofqual (QCF)
Awarding body: accredited by City and Guilds can be used as GCSE equivalent
Certificate Achieved: Upon completion of the course , learners will acquire the skills and knowledge in maths to progress into further education or access/progress in careers requiring maths.
Guided learning Hours: GLH for this qualification is between 2-3 months following a pattern of about 2 hours weekly.
Who is this course for?
The Level 2 qualification in maths (functional skills) is designed for learners who have not got a GSCE qualification and want to proceed to further education (Universities, colleges) or in jobs with a requirement for maths.
This course is part time, self-paced, distance learning, blended delivery of assessment, observation and tutorial.

Leaners for level 2 may have to completed level 1 before coming on to level 2
This is an exam based qualification, learners will undertake an initial assessment test to determine their knowledge/level before starting the course. After attending all the classroom sessions or online assessments and coursework, learners will be required to sit an invigilated exam to complete the qualification.
On Completion of this qualification, learners will gain the required knowledge and skills in maths to progress in your career or job or achieve the entry requirement for a further college or university course.
If you are unable to make the full payment, we can help you to start your course by offering a flexible payment plan by spreading the payment up to 12 months to enable to progress with your career and we don’t require credit checks.
