At Rosa Women\u2019s Lives Matter (RWLM), our work is guided by the following core values:<\/span><\/p>

  • Safety and Advocacy<\/b> \u2013 We do all we can to meet women’s basic needs and keep them safe.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    RWLM is a women-only space, inclusive of all who identify and live as women.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Why This Code Matters<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    This Code of Conduct explains what we expect from clients accessing our services, whether through our Drop-In centre, Helpline, self-referral, or a professional referral.<\/span><\/p>

    All clients are asked to complete a <\/span>New Client Pack<\/b>, which includes:<\/span><\/p>

    • A <\/span>Support Engagement Contract<\/b><\/li>
    • An <\/span>Information Sharing Agreement<\/b><\/li><\/ul>

      These documents set out the expectations for using our services respectfully and safely.<\/span><\/p>

      Creating a Safe and Respectful Space<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      RWLM is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, free from discrimination, harassment, and abuse.<\/span><\/p>

      We do <\/span>not<\/b> tolerate any unfair treatment based on:<\/span><\/p>

      • Race or ethnicity<\/span><\/li>
      • Religion or beliefs<\/span><\/li>
      • Disability<\/span><\/li>
      • Gender identity or sexual orientation<\/span><\/li>
      • Age, nationality, or personal circumstances<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        We aim to make our services accessible to every woman. If you face language, communication, or learning barriers, we can provide:<\/span><\/p>

        • Interpreting support (phone or face-to-face)<\/span><\/li>
        • Easy Read and translated materials<\/span><\/li>
        • Visual aids such as coloured overlays<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          What We Ask of Our Clients<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          When you engage with RWLM, we ask that you:<\/span><\/p>

          • Sign in and out at the centre<\/span><\/li>
          • Treat others \u2013 staff, volunteers, and fellow clients \u2013 with respect<\/span><\/li>
          • Follow our safety and fire evacuation procedures<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

            Unacceptable behaviours include:<\/b><\/p>

            • Abuse, threats, or intimidation<\/span><\/li>
            • Coercion or manipulation of staff or peers<\/span><\/li>
            • Exploiting others emotionally, financially, or sexually<\/span><\/li>
            • Using substances onsite<\/span><\/li>
            • Damaging property or the reputation of RWLM<\/span><\/li>
            • Endangering others\u2019 safety<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

              These behaviours may result in you being asked to leave or suspended from using our services.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              Confidentiality and Information Sharing<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
              \n\t\t\t\t

              Your information is handled with care. We will always ask your permission before sharing your details, except in certain legal or safeguarding situations.<\/span><\/p>

              We may need to share information if:<\/span><\/p>

              • You or someone else is at risk of harm<\/span><\/li>
              • There\u2019s a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable adult<\/span><\/li>
              • A crime has been disclosed<\/span><\/li>
              • A legal order requires us to do so<\/span><\/li>
              • You are referred through a statutory service (e.g. police or probation)<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                Your personal data is stored securely and kept for six years after your support ends, in line with data protection regulations.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                Raising Concerns or Making a Complaint<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                If you have a concern, please speak to your caseworker first.<\/span>
                <\/span>If the issue continues, you can raise it with a Service Manager.<\/span>
                <\/span>Unresolved complaints can be made in writing to our Directors\/Trustees or CEO.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
