Discriminatory abuse targets individuals or groups because of:<\/span><\/p>

  • Race or ethnic background<\/span><\/li>
  • Religion or belief<\/span><\/li>
  • Gender or gender identity<\/span><\/li>
  • Sexual orientation<\/span><\/li>
  • Disability<\/span><\/li>

    • Refusing medical care or services due to someone\u2019s identity<\/span><\/li>
    • Isolating or excluding someone because of who they are<\/span><\/li>
    • Making degrading jokes or comments in personal, professional, or care settings<\/span><\/li>
    • Denying opportunities (housing, jobs, education) because of race, disability, or religion<\/span><\/li>
    • Threatening someone based on their immigration or asylum status<\/span><\/li>
    • Forcing someone to conform to cultural or gender norms<\/span><\/li>
    • Assuming someone is \u201cless capable\u201d due to age or ability<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Yes. Discriminatory abuse may violate several UK laws, including:<\/span><\/p>
